La abogada Claudia de Buen Unna se convirtió en la primera mujer en ocupar la presidencia de la Barra Mexicana, Colegio de Abogados (BMA). La toma de protesta se llevó a cabo el jueves 25 de febrero de manera virtual ante consejeros y consejeras de la BMA. El equipo de Zárate Abogados y de la revista Escala Legal felicita a la nueva presidenta de la BMA por este logro en su carrera y reconoce el hecho histórico de que una mujer presidirá por primera vez la asociación de barristas más importante del país.
No cabe duda que su desempeño será un éxito, además de que será un ejemplo a seguir para muchas mujeres que aspiran a desarrollarse en el ejercicio de su profesión. Su victoria marcará un cambio para las abogadas y abogados en México, pues se observa un gran avance social en la búsqueda de la igualdad entre hombres y mujeres.
También felicitamos a los nuevos consejeros electos de la BMA para el bienio 2021-2023, entre los que se encuentra como primer vicepresidente el abogado Víctor Oléa Peláez. En entrevista con la revista Escala Legal, la nueva presidenta de la BMA, Claudia de Buen Unna, nos habló sobre la relevancia de presidir la Barra Mexicana, Colegio de Abogados. “Las mujeres nos estamos posicionando en cargos relevantes, lo que hace algunos años no se veía posible. Es un esfuerzo conjunto de abogadas y abogados que creyeron en mí, que creen en la inclusión, que creen en la igualdad. Estoy cierta de que es solamente el principio de una labor que, estoy segura, abrirá las puertas a muchas colegas: el triunfo de una nos invade de
